Hardware not there? Testing the sound and mic using windows mic test, youtube, go-to-meeting, and others I can’t replicate the issue. Check if Zoom still crashes a lot. Make sure your camera is connected and turned on.

OP jcm This person is a verified professional. If you’re still having trouble with your camera in Zoom, you can still participate in meetings with your microphone or by dialing-in to Zoom. Does anyone know where I can find instructions for deploying software to a system the next time it comes online using SCCM?

I have rebooted my laptop since installation of zoom. The camera light shows “on” on the laptop when I start a meeting, but nothing shows in the preview or to people on the call with me. Hi Kathy7 thank you for your post here on the Zoom Community! I wanted to offer some thoughts about why this may be happening:. Microsoft Skype for example is one I have seen do this.

If you can completely exit out of any apps that might be using the camera and try Zoom again that would be great. You can even do this when you are not in a meeting. Click on Video, and you will see some camera choice options there. If your camera is recognized by Zoom you will see a small picture of yourself in camera.

If this has answered your question to your satisfaction, please click the “Accept as Solution” button below but if not please reply and we can continue the discussion. Thank you! I have gone into settings and confirmed everything. When I turn Video on, the light shows on my laptop’s webcam. But the screen for preview is black.

I have no other video software apps running at the time. This only happens for Zoom. We’ve tried literally everything. I was able to fix it by simply disabling and enabling the realtek microphone array for one person, and the other person’s mic actually worked when the mic was DISABLED! No idea why. These are probably very unstable, nonpermanent fixes, so also ordered external mics for those users. The other person’s doesn’t work no matter what I do!

I have a ticket in with Zoom that just got escalated to their engineering team so will report back there. The problem is that once the issue occurs, the mic won’t work for other programs either. How frustrating! I’ve got users who have the onboard Realtek array go completely dead.

Nothing comes through the microphone in the ‘Sound Settings’ until I reinstall the driver, or delete the audio device from compmgmt. The folks with headsets seem to have the microphone go dead at the same as the onboard. I’ve got a machine right now E on 6. This is the version that support. At this point, I’m convinced it’s intermittent across many versions. The hard part is that all of the testing is happening with real people who need to get work done on these calls.

The next best thing might be trying to capture the event with Procmon in an effort to further help the vendors isolate where this interaction is happening. Guess what?

After tickets open with everyone, Zoom engineering team provided this response – Microsoft is releasing a hotfix for this problem at the end of Sept!

Big relief! Unfortunately the suggestion of rolling back drivers did not help all the users, but we have alternatives until this hotfix is released. Wanted to let everyone know. Thanks, fixfinder for helping us all work together!

Hi Katie, Apologies for the inconvenience. If the speeds are undesirable, repeat Solution 1. Also, you can check out our tips on how to increase internet speed. To access these options, click the cog icon Settings on the main screen of the Zoom desktop app, or click the arrow icon within the video camera icon during a call and then select Video Settings on the pop-up menu.

Sharing your screen is an important part of many Zoom calls. Sharing your screen takes up a lot of bandwidth. Use a wired connection, if available, for the best performance. Your meeting will then start with only audio, freeing up bandwidth.

Your video will not be automatically turned on. When sharing your screen, the viewer can request remote control to help you troubleshoot or explain a process more clearly. This tool is listed as Request Remote Control under View Options and can be accessed at any time while sharing the screen.

Chances are, the sharer host is not agreeing to the request for remote control. A notification will pop up on their screen, and they must choose Allow to enable remote control.

The sharer host may be interrupting the process. Technically, the person sharing their screen can stop the remote control at any time by clicking their mouse. Always leave the host computer alone while the viewer client assumes remote control.

You could be on the wrong device. Another common problem is not being able to receive email messages from Zoom. This can include notifications and activation emails. These can take up to 30 minutes to arrive and may take longer.

I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. Let me help you with your concern.

Have you downloaded the zoom client for meetings installer from the below link? Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
