Louis, MO – June 2, I work for Dell, but exclusively support a client. When in executive support, you have both a Dell manager and a manager for the client. Dell management is good, but the client-side management has been extremely difficult to work with and incompetent. Dell management seems to have their hands tied in terms of being unable to really address the client-side management issues. There is limited opportunity to advance apart from a lateral move. What people like. My manager is willing to work with us to not only succeed as an employee, but to be the person we want to be and achieve our goals outside of work.
My day starts in the morning. I code then attend out stand up. Stand up is well structured and even though it runs a little long due to the size of our team, we all on the same page when it is over. I code most of the day at my own pace getting feedback when I have issues. Several days of the week, we have time set aside for personal and career development. As a junior developer, my team is very responsive to my questions, encouraging me and motivating me to be the best coder I can be, not just for Dell but for anyone.
Every co-worker are friendly and supportive for new-commer. My manager teach me about Dell and adviced me how I should do for customer seles activities. Co-worker also friendly tolk to me and support my sales actions.
Business is not easy but I believe I can do my work at this company.
